The greedy businessman knows nothing of soccer (game wise), he's just proposing random games and streaming kids fighting to the bones to be one of the 2 selected.... It's all very entertainment and trash reality show capitalizing on kid's hopes and desperation etc. Very Mr. Beast, Squid games like... At least with Ego's Blue lock program and the Neo Egoist League, the kids are learning stuff & faces challenges that are benefitting as it improve their gameplay (ofc if they don't succumb to despair and not get over skill issues).
