Why do I feel like people might actually move on from this story? It’s genuinely a good story, but the author’s handling of the hiatus is getting frustrating.
It’s been almost two years, and we’ve been told “this summer,” “this winter,” “October,” “November,” “December”… like, bro, just give us a realistic deadline or don’t give one at all.
If there’s a genuine reason for the delay, just explain it to us. We’ll understand and suck it up. But constantly giving dates and then disappearing is what’s making readers lose patience. If you don’t want to lose your readers before the next chapter even comes out, please handle this better.
