In my opinion, Toono has already fallen for Kashima. But of course Yacchan wasnt gonna go down without a fight so that why he is acting this way. Sensei wouldn't have him just straight up accept it even after chapter cause it seem it would be to easy for Kashima or be anticlimactic for Yacchan. Kashima already won this. He may need to fight for it but Toono however needs to admit it. He didnt admit it in chapter 34 when he told Yacchan that they weren't dating as he seems he aware of it but he keeps denying it so why would Kashima the one to be blame for this? He ask Toono was was wrong in chaoter 33 and Toono ran away and didnt bring up why he did it or be honest with himself. So I do not blame Kashima for acting like this. He doesn't blame Toono and still continues to be nice to him throughout this series. He really is a pure and kind boy. But we shall see.
