Honestly you really can’t trust ratings on mangago. People see a black flag and immediately assume it’s bad. However, this was genuinely one of the most well written stories I’ve read in a long time. Most of the characters are morally gray. Yohan is definitely crazy, but his relationship with Jess grew into something way more than simple Stockholm Syndrome and we see his desperation to help others (although he could just have a savior complex) and find a sense of belonging somewhere. They found a reason to live in each other and I think that’s beautiful especially with the whole eternal life concept. The pacing for the story was also great. The backstories never dragged on too long, but there weren’t any plot holes either. I really loved reading this and I think if you enjoy dark romance and characters that sacrifice everything for loved ones, you’d love this story too.
