Great

The art was breathtaking, I definitely preferred the watercolor-y art style at the beginning but even the present dance sequences were very beautiful with the new art style. This is a very happy, wholesome, light-hearted manhua, almost to a fault ngl. It doesn't really dwell on the the reality of the world too much for the main characters like it was too easy and unproblematic for them to get where they wanted to be even if they were presented obstacles--like it was brought up in 1-2 chapters then boom resolved; but this doesn't ring true for the side couples lol.

Ofc that's not bad, this is just how the atmosphere of the manhua was meant to be and it's very low cortisol, if you will. This would be a very good cool down read from an insanely toxic dark romance comic xD Like let's be honest, if we could, we would also want a pure, long-lasting love like Bai Jinyi and Jiang Shen and can I just say I really liked how they met as kids. It's not really anything different, but it's the fact that we basically grew up with them and since you see how their for affectipm for each other grows, all u want to do is just support them and hope for the best. This goes for the side characters that they grew up with in the village btw. Everyone was well-rounded and had some sort of story or characterization to them, not just some background characters that would have been forgotten after a few chapters. The only one that wasn't really seen much or felt flat was Shubao.

As for the side couples, I liked the 2nd one mb I forgot the names already, those 2 actually presented realistic problems in life when it comes to your career and a gay relationship. As for the 3rd one, it didn't pass the vibe honestly. Like yeah 1st master cares for him, but does that really means he loves 2nd master? Idk it's also possible there was some nuance that wasn't translated well between the two so it just doesn't make sense to me.

Anyway, overall a good read, has a good, diverse cast, translation wasn't S-tier but it was enough to get most of the story across and still grateful there is at least a translation. Wholesome, light-hearted, and drama is to a minimum.
