even though everyone's pissed at MC for going back to the reverend, i think it makes sense for his character. he's always seemed pretty dependent on people he's close to, esp since the reverend has been manipulating him for so long, and MC is def not exactly the mentally stable type. he doesn't really have anyone else to go to, since him and gabriella are on kinda strained terms and she obv doesn't know he's a serial killer (though she's suspecting he has some kinda involvment w them) although we def can be annoyed at him as impartial omniscient observers lol
