Is it just me

Or is this more fast paced than the novel? Also I see you guys want romance, oh there will be some. Maybe in 3 more chapters, since the story is progressing this fast I feel it will be within 3 chapters or 5.

Gail unclothes MC because MC goes and looks for Gail who disappeared for days after falling into the river. They also found out that that one dude (I forgot his name sorry) gave them the powder that lured in the ogre. MC decides to punish them. Anyways, they create a group man hunt to find Gail after and then MC ends up getting swept away by the river but grabs onto a branch and gets back to land. That’s where he meets gail again, somewhere far and in a cave.

Gail unclothes MC while he’s asleep and does nothing nasty to him like some other douchebags would but he stares at him in awe. When MC wakes back up and starts changing, Gail instantly gives him some privacy, but when Gail begins to change too, MC can’t help from looking away from Gail’s muscular body.

They go back into the duchy/mansion or whatever and they celebrate their subjugation. Gail sees MC is with his soon-to-be wife which I PERSONALLY don’t like her (you will find out why). MC becomes really drunk so he steps out and gets some fresh air, then he spots Gail. They begin to speak to each other, if I recall Gail asks him what he’s hiding again and that’s what makes MC irate so he leaves him there. Then Gail grabs him and pins him to the wall (I can’t really remember this part…) and they almost kiss(?). All I remember is that SOMETHING does happen which makes our MC run away blushing and embarrassed. Not believing what just happened and questioning himself. He goes back into his room where he sees a woman behind a curtain. That woman is his fiancé and he rejects her advances to bed her… THEN SHE FUCKING LIES AND TELLS HER MAIDS TO SPREAD A RUMOR THAT THEY SLEPT TOGETHER LIKE THE FUCK.
