Jaeyi is finally starting to realize what he feels for Ideum (which has honestly been pretty obvious for a while now.)
Even his friend and the other swim instructor noticed that Jaeyi acts differently around Ideum so it was about time he realized it himself.
He might have been a bit harsh with Ideum just now, but even so, he managed to stay in line, calmed down, cleared things up by telling Ideum that Jiseong is his older brother, and then gave Ideum a sweet comfort kiss. Up until now, kissing was mostly just part of having sex, but this one felt more, like it had meaning. It's as if he isn't completely against the idea of Ideum meaning more to him (though he might still change how their relationship works later on because of it…)
(At the same time, now that he's realized he feels differently about Ideum, since the next chapter is the Season 1 finale, he will end the relationship I fear. The rule of their agreement was that they were strictly friends with benefits, and as soon as either of them develops feelings, it's over…)
Then he went to treat Ideum's injuries, and despite being much harsher, rougher this time, he was still paying close attention whenever Ideum was in pain, even though he was visibly upset and confused himself.
And in the end, Jaeyi blamed himself: “You’re the absolute worst, Kwon Jaeyi…”
I knew Jaeyi was a good guy.
(And yeah, Jaeyi said that line about himself, even though the panel showed Ideum.)

He doesn’t want to hurt Ideum, and he doesn’t want Jiseong to hurt Ideum. He do care about him and this was shown and proven multiple times now.
(Btw, a glance at the judo uniform means (I think), stepping out of Ideum's life just as he quit judo back then. In earlier chapters he said, he doesn’t even understand feelings like “that”. And he also said, he hates when feelings get involved, but the fact is, his partners started to feel something for him, but now he is that partner, and even when he was in relationship’s he just wanted the physical part… this is different, he never cared about his partners like this before. Like with Ideum.) Now not just Jaeyi have to suffer because of Jiseong, but Ideum too, because Jiseong is the reason that Jaeyi suppress or give up on his feelings or not facing them.

Dude probably has attachment issues. 'If you don't feel you won't get hurt, right?' Might be his thinking process..

    Yes, something like this.
Also, I think Jaeyi is a bit disgusted about himself because he was squabbling with his brother on Ideum as if he were an object.
Unfortunately, I’m afraid that since the next chapter is the Season 1 finale, it will end with Jaeyi returning to Ideum’s apartment with the ointment, and then ending their friends-with-benefits relationship, just like he said in the beginning…
