I'm tired of people using violent movies and video games as a blanket comparison. There have been documented cases where repeated exposure to violent media has been associated with changes in behaviour, so claiming that media consumption can never have an influence is just as unreasonable as claiming it always does. Similarly, some research has found associations between certain forms of pornography consumption and sexually aggressive attitudes or behaviour, although that doesn't establish that pornography causes rape or that every consumer is dangerous. My point isn't that fiction automatically determines someone's morals, but that we shouldn't dismiss the potential influence of what people repeatedly consume, romanticize, and defend simply because it's fictional. Depiction, consumption, and endorsement are different things, and all deserve nuanced discussion.

The people acting like this is crazy good communication as if this isn’t a normal amount of communication
