No, he shouldn't. There's obviously something mentally off with him. My assumption is that he has a brain injury, hence why the extreme anger. He's acting out in the only way he believes will help. He's not a terrible person, but there's obvious sign that he's not all there and is just as scared as Yeseung. He doesn't want to lose him, but neither of them are capable of expressing their true feelings properly

Unfortunately yes I think a lot of people are missing the point of searching deeper into this story and understanding that there may be something mentally wrong with Gyeol.
I feel like it's just that he doesn't have an understanding of abuse/fawning in even the smallest remotest sense. To him, he just sees Yeseung as being loyal and choosing his master/sugar daddy over him, he can't understand why, and it's driving him literally insane because of how obsessed he is. I wish there was more internal dialogue for his thought process so we aren't all left trying to guess off of only vague facial expressions.
