hot take but... IMO im kinda liking this storyline...do i like it for ideum, no bc its confusing to receive it without any info. at the same time, as a reader, i do like the realistic aspect of the story. humans are messy, we get confused, we don't know why we behave the way we do until we realize later on. not everyone is able to confront their childhood wounds in a blink of an eye... and especially the whole reason i find this manga so interesting is because of its realistic parallels, from the drawings to the storyline. i do not think jaeyi would become like a black flag or anything... but i do like how sometimes when characters face high stakes or confusing moments that are the moments that show character! its not easy facing wounds that keep getting pressed on and in this case, its jaeyi feeling like the things he finds important are taken away from him, whether thats the time he has with them or just normal security (parents - childhood wound --> ideum = similar symbolism). if anything, it seems because of jaeyi's repitive asks to be seen as a child, its harder as an aduld to be direct about what he really wants and thats really showing up in this latest ch!
