That part when Soleum asking Mr. Lizard what's his wish, every scanlation has their own version. Which one is the most closer to his real reason that revealed in the novel?

Flame: "I work here because I was assigned to, not by my volition."
Vortex/Qi: "I am working against my will."
Timeless: "I am working here against someone's else will."
Thunder: "I work here driven by someone else's will."
Asura: "I work here at someone else's will."
Stone: "I'm working here because of someone else's will."
The sentences might look like they have the same meaning but each translation has different subtext in it. One might seems like Mr. Lizard was just following an order, but the other might seems like Lizard was forced to do someone's bidding. One has this nuance he's there as a result of someone's plan. Some even like it's Mr. Lizard own will, the exact opposite of the other sentence. It confuses me.
