the quality of my romantasy slop continues to decline. i already knew it was gonna be an all gas no breaks type story with an underdeveloped plot.. but c’mon. so the brooding emperor finally learns what guilt/remorse feels like but it’s too late, he’s already got an ex-wife.. and instead of like- cracking open a book or taking to people in healthy relationships, he pouts, throws a tantrum, talks to other divorcees and doesn’t emotionally process anything. he’s not even trying, he’s just constantly asking “why don’t you like me?” in different ways, and when the FL is like “it’s bc you’re a neglectful partner” he’s like “:0” im so tired of these bland, mommy issue-having, emotionally stunted het men.. tbh the other dude, the one who didnt shoot his shot before her marriage is ig a better choice for partner, but tbh just let the two of em be FRIENDS.
ALSO the art is stiff as fuck.. it literally looks like the FL got filler and can’t emote.
