yeah. The key of conquerors haki is in the simplest term- confidence. knowing how strong you are and believing that you are strong enough. conqueror's haki users are ambitious in the way that they want to reach a certain peak themselves.
for sanji however, he has self esteem issues. it was there as a background thought in the past but became a more cleared out topic in whole cake island arc. If you look back on how he was the mvp of many arcs finding out stuffs and pulling cool shits off you'll notice many of his actions are risky, as if in this plan of his there was no concern of whether he will return alive and victorious or not. dude's self destructive in a way that he doesn't care about himself, which is opposite of zoro's way of being self destructive as in he will get what he wants no matter what and will not let this break him. So it makes sense for sanji to face that trait of him now (i personally really like how the arcs are giving more depth to sanji as a character). idk if my explanation made any sense tho..

I don't know... I mean people with conqueror haki seems to be either has the trait of unyielding ego, steadfast inner self, really strong self-faith, and ferocious-tenacious side
