i think he’s naturally pretty introverted + i think he’s afraid of people approaching him bc he/his mom have been judged by people before for being a single mother household with an unknown father. Plus, he was so focused on his academics so that his mom wouldn’t be worried, so i’m sure other kids were intimidated by him/he might not have had a lot of time. I also think he probably didn’t really have social skills bc he just studied instead of playing lol
