I understand how hard it is to survive inside that wretched palace, but I am so freaking glad that despite growing up in such rough environment, the empress was able to raise such a smart and (even just a bit) compassionate son. It made me cry how he acknowledged the hardships our FL is going through. Especially the line where he said, he was lucky because he has his mom but the FL had no one. FUHHH, It’s painful af.
