Low-key.. even as a die hard empress fan.. I don’t think that mattered to her at all gang. Her son came second to her goals. She literally gave birth to a useless omega. Bottom of the barrel 2nd gender. If she truly wanted to “give her son what was denied of him” with all the power she had, I’m sure she could have come up with a handful of ways to change the laws in order to make an omega able to take the throne. If she even had the heart or empathy for her son, a pathetic omega, that is. And she lacked that, she lacked empathy, rightfully so, because in her eyes he was a tool from the beginning, and ended up being a useless fking puppet to her that couldn’t do his job. She never saw him as an equal: “she’s an omega= he’s also an omega” NOPE, her view was more like: “she’s superior, she’s Mother, she’s QUEEN ≠ he’s other, he’s a tool, he can still be used as a stepping stool to get to my goal.” What was her goal? POWER, she wanted the house of Herace to gain more power over the empire. And from my understanding she would benefit greatly as an empress dowager if her biological son took the throne. But overall the house of Herace would clearly benefit from it in general. No matter what 2nd gender he was born with, what mattered was her goals. Omega rights never mattered.
(What I gathered before dropping this 40 chapters in)

it's such a shame that the motivations of the empress were overlooked. it is indeed true that she wanted to give his son what was denied of him just for being an omega. it's such a shame that such depth was not recognized even by readers. i am by no means saying what she did was right but it's just a bit sad that out of love too, her actions also became the source of misery for her son. i understand her.
