I think it caters perfectly to people who have a dub-con kink. I wouldn't want Matthias any other way. His forceful dominant personality is pivotal in this story. Otherwise this story wouldn't work. And he does end up marrying Layla and having a son with her. So it's a happy ending. Don't worry. Layla even gave him the nickname, "Matty".
Layla clearly likes Matthias but clearly this is coercion and rape due to the heavy power imbalance they have. Even if Layla is into Matthias, she wants Matthias to love her and feels disrespected that the only thing Matthias offers to her is to be the ‘other’ woman. She DOES NOT want this to happen and that itself warrants the act as rape. I’m just so sad he’s a piece of shit and Layla is so inlove with him even if she says the opposite. Their relationship is complex and girl deserves sm better. Anyway, still reading this because i love stories that aren’t black and white.
