Arghh I hate parents like this, don't have kids if you can't even tend their needs.

Not saying what their parents did was right, but having a loved one be it kid or spouse really fucks with you and your capability to see the bigger picture. You are so stressed about if they are going to die you are in a world of your own. And even the big brother knew and played a part.
