I thought cheongdo might be the demi-wyrm that the clan exploit, and then his grandma finds out about the god, then try to free him but failed hence she's in coma. But the more i read the more the theory fails. Since its revealed that cheongdo is the vessel for all of the 'bad luck' that is caused by the clans shady dealing.
Then i thought chanra might be the demi-wyrm. His backstory sounds suspicious too. An orphan dropped at temple, met cheongdo's grandma, with his act that sometimes, as cheongdo said doesn't feels like human. It was also suspicious how when chanra met little cheongdo in the dream there was a snake there too. Looks like foreshadowing maybe.
Or maybe chanra is just a human with insane level of purity (i guess? Or shamanic power?) and his fate lines up with cheongdo.
All in all, GREAT STORY. It's been so long since I've read something so plot-heavy
