Rant ig

I feel like the more heteronormative stereotypes are pushed on tops and bottoms the more people try to find tropes that would be a twist in a hetero relationship but just don't i a gay one, i keep seeing people request bls where the bottom is the "evil" "toxic" one and all i can think is...he's still just a man? I don't find it interesting when either of the leads are unnecessary mean to their love interest and play with their feelings. In a het romance it would be interesting for the woman to be the one who is more experienced or more toxic because of gender stereotypes and I feel because those gender stereotypes are but onto gay relationship due to sex position ppl forget bottoms are men there's nothing revolutionary about them being abusive. Not that i dont see the fact bottoms are made to be these virgin maidens but again i just think that's where the heteronormativity stereotypes put on top and bottom labels come into place, i totally get why people want to see a flip in the dynamic (I do too )
