The original novel was the same, and it did feel like a 14-year-old's fanfic too, lol.
Some authors grow out of their works and modify them when it comes to a comic adaptation, and some, well, don't....
that whole sequence of events was so stupid lmao (≧∀≦) the convenient fence whole, kid dangling over a cliff, dog attack (why are there murderous dogs next to a theme park?) stopped by a gunshot...this story has had over the top scenes before but this was like a 14yo's first fanfic lol
