he knows if he tells him cain is gonna beg him to keep it and I wouldn't feel like his decision more like something he was coerced into doing
Doesn't matter, he shouldn't ask his alpha to not keep anything from him and tell him everything, cos he's not following the same + he's keeping the baby anyway.
A person has no right to demand something from someone they also cannot give back to, simple.
