I half agree with your statement. I don't think Heejae forced himself on Garam tbh. But the way he isolated Garam, their environment and their dynamics naturally created an unbalance between the two. And with how things went downhill + their age gap, tbh I think the pair Garam×Youngjo would be better. I always liked them, but now they both are mature enough to handle things in the right way. They both are understanding and empathetic. But sadly, I don't think the author will make them the end game. I have no idea how they are gonna redeem Heejae but I guess that's what they're gonna do

Is it bad to say I like this pairing better than him and heejae ( I might be biased cuz I don't like big age gaps) but think abt it heejae in a way forcefully took over garam's mind, isolated him first due to music then really geographically (moved to america) all thats gotta fuck garam up slightly. Mf had only one thing going for him was that he was straight forward but he even failed to do that. The times he shouted and constantly demanded compromises is something i have seen in older couples around me (south east asian) where patriarchy and one partner dominance crushed the other. The author is really brilliant for really making me root for them during their honeymoon phase but looking back on it, I didn't like angel like garam with that nasty old man. Soorryyy for the rant yall
