I do know a lot of vtubers who quit their irl job for vtubing. I do think if you're popular enough and/or under a corpo, vtubing in general itself is taxing. Managing scheds, PRs, streaming, collabs and IRL recordings, so i get them for focusing on it instead. I do think vtubing doesn't last forever, but I think you'll still get by after specially if vtubing is NOT your first job. The vtubers I know had a lots of jobs before vtubing so if they do retire, they already had connections and experience outside vtubing. And not only that, they can also apply on the corpo as a staff instead if they want to. Vtubing corpo is not just about vtubers, there's a lot of employees and connections involved. It's not just a one way street. I do believe they have more connections now in the entertainment industry that can give them jobs still lol They'll be fine even retiring.
Nevertheless this was so cute it makes me remember my oshis lmao
