Look I'd agree if geonpil wasn't 28 years old, sure they first me when he was 18 but it's been 10 years since then and I'm p sure 4 years since they've moved in w one another (could be wrong abt the move in date tho didn't double check that but point stands) even the story itself acknowledges the fact geonpil was being selfish and knowingly took advantage of his hyung, hence the whole "sins on your back" thing from the shaman
