I'm pleasantly surprised by the storyline as I initially didn't intend to read it but got pulled in and actually enjoyed it.
I started this because of Cherry On Top and I ended up finishing it before 24 hours. I stayed up all night to read it and though it was frustrating at some points, it's really good.
It's a trauma bond, combined with unhealthy coping mechanisms and they have a lot of healing to do. While I love that they ended up together, the ending was so abrupt and left much to be desired.
I'm sad there are no side stories, especially as some plot points were abandoned. I was really interested to know what the doctor wanted to say about Alyosha's condition and recovery pertaining to reuniting with Lerusha, his bonded partner.
The ending was clearly rushed. I don't know why and I don't like it but overall, I really liked the storyline. It was a breath of fresh air. I love psychological storylines so much and hope to find more good ones.
