Without spoiling too much, the top is going through some mental issues that made him lose a lot of weight (it's even acknowledged by his friends).
About his face, I'm assuming it's because of the plot. Stuff happened and he wants to fix it (to the point of obsession), that's why he always looks weepy or "yearning".
I'm not sure what the author's plans are, but I hope by him getting better he will eventually go back to his old self.
I wanted to let this marinate so I left it alone 20 chapters in however I’m wondering if the art style has changed completely because I just skimmed through chapter 42..why does the top look like a twink? I mean even the size of his body has changed but the low gaze he had is gone..?? Out of curiosity is that due to the plot or did the artist genuinely just change his face. I don’t want this to come across as annoying but what did they do to the top actually, I loved that they both had an unbothered masculine look. I wouldn’t mind if he looked like that because he was yearning but based on comments is this how he will look all season ?
