In general i would say its a universe where there are supernatural powers like awakened people. And these people depending on their power get kinda crazy and mad if they use their power long or much. That's when the guides come in and they kinda stabilise the persons mental and physical situation. Its usually by touching them...
i don't really remember if ive ever read any, pretty sure i havent, but ive always seen a ton of covers for them and a friend of mine keeps suggesting for me to give them a try (not that im not open to it, just been reading other things cause i dont have a lot of time on my hands lol) but what kinda is putting me off from picking any up is that i hear the worldbuilding of its complicated? like what exactly is guideverse and what are like the mechanics of it if that makes any sense.. and is there any good recs i should read to get started?
