I like complex characters like this

I like how the seme isn’t obviously falling in love. If you get what I mean. He’s showing signs of possessiveness but has a hard time understanding it. Unlike in some bls where the seme would start giggling and smiling when the uke says “actually, you did this to me” (I’m talking about the hickeys) but then they still don’t know if they like the uke. Like boy you know damn well… But here the seme is simply confused after hearing that. Which is realistic. The progression here actually makes sense, I like that his emotions aren’t made so obvious. Readers are more perceptive than authors might think so it’s rlly just not good writing to make attraction so obvious when clearly the seme thinks they’re straight or that it’s not possible to like the uke. And it’s also obvious that they do that so that readers side with the seme like “oh well actually he got jealous over him and likes him so it’s ok”. But again, here it’s complex so we still see the seme for who he is.
