i beg to differ, I believe it’s always been somehwat similar to codename anastasia, they’ve just portrayed it in the subtlest way. From the very start, you could say that the sex was already dubious (i believe it’s borderline non-con because I remember Yujin offering his body like that’s his only way out of the situation.) Forced proximity and imprisonment is the part with the scandal + the threat of being with a Hunter family. So yeah while the confinement-rape combo is an overused arc, this story has always been a subtler version of every dark toxic romance you could compare it to.

Given, their relationship didn't start on the most healthy bases but it was fine, they got along and yk yujin left bc he was scared his past life would get Aaron into troubles and for Aaron to lose his mind is... Plausible but not to this extend like come on. I would have expected him to monitor yujin's movements (bodyguards, stalking him (it's bad ik but it would work given his connections), preventing him from taking the airport or bus and shit) until he gained his trust back but not this, don't do me like that pls
