the ending is such bullshit. i’m sorry the story is just so beautiful why would you think it’d be necessary to make that ending. the fact they couldn’t grow old together is absolutely miserable. what’s the point of them going through all that hardship with the dad if they were torn apart for YEARS because of a simple misunderstanding. to think it was a misunderstanding and the fear to learn that the love of your life has left you that kept them apart for so long. stupid ending. i hated it. loved the story. loved them. and i did cry the author got what they wanted. but i’m 10 toes down in believing that’s a stupid as fuck ending.
