This has some elements that come across as blatant parody (like the “rival” character’s name Amai Ichigo literally means “sweet strawberry”, Yowaki’s friend Genki Sarada’s name sounds a lot like “Healthy Salad”, the company’s name “Mitsu-Bachi” is a homonym for Honeybee), but I think pretty much all of that got lost in translation because they didn’t note any of the puns or language play. It’s too bad, if those elements were conveyed better in the English version maybe it could be more comedic, instead it just reads as pathetic at first. It starts to figure itself out and read more clearly as parody around chapter six. (The uploader didn’t break the chapters up and put up the whole volume at once, so that’s page 55).
