the 23rd chapter genuinely made me emotional. I think what made this story so special to me was the way the author portrayed love. In most bls, the characters get together, the story ends with a happy ending, and we rarely get to see what their life together actually looks like afterward. But here, we get to see how a relationship changes over time, how days can become monotonous, and how you can even grow accustomed to the person you love. I think acknowledging these things made the story feel so much more realistic I especially loved how they talked about the things they learned along the way Finding ways to break out of boredom, appreciating the little things, and not treating something as less valuable just because you've grown accustomed to it just because something doesn't feel as exciting as it used to doesn't mean it has lost its value sometimes, you simply learn how to live with it and I think that's one of the most beautiful things about love. You don't have to feel the same excitement you felt in the beginning to keep loving someone the part where Gerard realizes that he's still alive and that he's no longer alone on New Years Eve absolutely destroyed me. Their love doesn't magically make the world a better place or solve all their problems. But now they have a home to return to when the world becomes overwhelming, a place where they can find themselves again, and someone to share their lives with. And after taking a moment to breathe, they can step back into the world and keep living There's something so comforting about that thought I think what I loved most about this story was how it showed that love doesn't have to make every single day beautiful. Sometimes life is boring, exhausting, and complicated. But that doesn't mean it's not worth living. Love isn't about making every day of your life beautiful. It's about learning that even the days that aren't beautiful can still be part of a life worth living. And sometimes, having someone by your side makes it a little easier to keep going despite everything I never expected the love story of two vampires to make me feel all of this. When the story ended, it didn't feel like their lives had come to an end. Instead, it felt like their life together was just continuing beyond the pages. Maybe they'll get bored again, maybe they'll have difficult days, but they've learned how to go through all of it together. Just knowing that Gerard is no longer alone is enough to make me emotional.
