i’ve read a lot of fucked up shit and i can say this is one of the most devastating reads. i disliked both of the main characters at first but their behaviour is completely reasonable for what they have gone through, especially for seongmin. i didn’t expect how tragic this ended up becoming and how much genuine disgust i’d feel towards a mfing yaoi character, namely the father: hope this motherfucker is tortured pluck each of his nerves every second of his afterlife allow them to regenerate resume the process and the pain increases exponentially after every nerve is dealt with
fuck that old man at first i felt bad when mc was constantly rejecting his support but the whole time he KNEW about the sickening acts the father imposed onto seongmin as a kid and all he did was walk away YOURE A PRIVILEGED GROWN MAN? WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF? what faith do you even believe in if you cannot protect children from being molested you know you’re going to the seventh stage of jahannam
i think this would be an interesting tragic story if mc didn’t get turned on from choking seongmin bruh at first i thought this was a pwp freaky manhwa but it got too serious that i forgot that even happened. they could’ve had mc choke seongmin violently out of the hatred he felt for him as that is plot relevant, and there would be a difference between mc and his father: father was a disgusting freak pedophile whereas mc genuinely hated seongmin thinking seongmin had abandoned mc. there were no hints of mc thinking sexual thoughts towards seongmin in the past either so it was low key random. i guess author wanted us to see how similar mc and his father were in seongmin’s eyes? me personally, i think the last few chapters would mean a lot more if it was changed to that, and seongmin would have someone to believe in but unfortunately bro was as hard as his father so of course seongmin would not want to live in this world knowing there are perverted lustful freaks all around him no matter where he turns. if seongmin really died, i understand. i would be shocked if he had any will to live after all of this. never thought i’d get this emotionally invested into what i assumed was a slop at first reading late at night turned out to be something where im really thinking about victims out there just like seongmin
maybe i should make seongmin on my tomodachii island so he can live peacefully and happily for once.
