I remember hearing a stat somewhere that it takes on average 7 or so attempts to leave an abusive relationship and I feel like Baekhee just illustrates that in a beautiful but horrific way. Because that's all he's ever known it's scarier for him to forsake the bastard even for someone as likeable as ilwoo than it would be to stay in that horrific relationship.
