Hope they don't meet for a good few years and during that time, ML calms down, realizes his feelings, make amends w the people he hurt while searching for MC (from his friends to the secretary etc, except that dad).
Then they naturally by fate, sees each other again and they're then able to talk about all the shits ML did and him asking for forgiveness.
