minor spoiler-y review

Jumps in the story can feel a bit choppy and hard to understand. The back and forths between the different timelines almost gives whiplash (?) and you’re kind of just waiting for the MC’s past to catch up the present timeline. It’s not that hard to grasp; you just need a modicum of basic reading compression, but it can get frustrating. I think that’s what turns off a lot of readers at first, not to mention that it’s kind of slow at the start. Once you can get past that, you’re in for a real treat.

The art gets a lot better! One thing the story is good at is keeping you engaged. I like how even tho the MC is friggin OP, he still finds ways to make himself grow and experiment with his powers, beyond hit limits of the tutorial. The different floors allow the author to make stories with varying settings, from medieval to modern fantasy.

The character development is also very intriguing. The MC is a rare one imo in manhwa because he is truly introspective. He’s willing to look back on his past through all his trauma and sets his own morals so as to not lose his sanity in claiming the tutorial. Which is really realistic! I like that he doesn’t instantly have steadfast morals. The aura farming moments also feel earned.

The world building is complicated, but also very fleshed out. So it’s very believable that the MC is surviving in the mysterious tutorial. The author explores in such a way that you really want to find out more with the MC. I also appreciate that the romance isn’t harem at all; it’s very adult, which make sense because the MC is an adult yk. And I like how it doesn’t take away from the plot at all! Very minor romance tbh.

Anyway, this is probably one of the best “tutorial” manhwa I’ve ever read. Payoff is very satisfying. Doesn’t fall off at any point
