so BL as a genre is a whole bag of fucked up stuff and you hear about romanticizing rape, abuse, etc. in a lot of stories. i usually ignore and say "don't like don't read" whenever people complain about the gratuitous amount of rape fetish and fantasies in BL, i have an overall apathetic and neutral POV in regards to "romanticizing" dark romance or whatever.
this shit isn't even that. "gratuitous" isn't even cutting it. this is just misery porn all the way through. what the fuck is even the plot. you think you're getting character development, or the MC has a bit of hope in whatever form, but then it's always the worst case scenario. you think, "it cannot possibly get any worse" and then it does. it's just bad writing at this point, repetitive, predictable, and tbh, boring.
if you're bored and looking to kill time, go ahead. if you want something interesting, don't waste your time.
