I’m so tired of stories acting like a woman escaping a miserable marriage is just the first step toward finding a better man, as if the ultimate reward for surviving a shitty relationship is getting into another one. WHAT ABOUT THE FREEDOM SHE FOUGHT FOR? WHAT ABOUT THE PEACE SHE WANTED? WHAT ABOUT HER DREAMS THAT DON’T INVOLVE A MAN?
