maybe cuz ive grown up now but bro it felt so silly im crying
like the fml took mary sue to a whole diff level bruh how did EVERYONE have a crush on her LMAO and when she started speaking full sentences it made me laugh so hard i couldnt take it seriously
the art is really good tho, ik ppl saying the singing was random and back then i dropped it cuz of the singing too. But the chapter updates back then were irregular so it was hard to always keep up with the plot.
but after reading it again in one go, the singing has alwaysss been a theme since the first chapter idk why we r so surprised, her voice was central to the plot. it was the reason the elementals connected to her. Not to mention, her singing went against everything the church stood for. It makes sense why she wanted to be a 'popstar', it helped with her revenge and it was also her dream.
But they went overkill with the amount of love interests and i was struggling to keep up ngl. Like i understand 1 or 2, but basically every single man who was near her wanted her, the knight was so extra n random idk why they turned him into a love interest too.
And i think the biggest ick was how oblivious the fml was to it all. At some point it became disrespectful to the male lead, i understand she didnt see them romantically but cmon sian was flirting w her sm and i think she shouldve set a boundary atleast. She dismissed everyones suggestive behaviour and i hate that the author didn't acknowledge their feelings. They should've been allowed to confess to her. Sorry but if we were reading this story from a canon fodders pov, the readers would prob hate on her. If the roles were reversed and ml acted like the fml, readers would hate him asw.
I didn't dislike fmls character completely tho, she was sharp when she needed to be and wasnt always a saintess to everyone. But everyone else fell flat, i was really interested in yulis psychopathic nature and im so annoyed that they didnt go into that. esp that time where he ripped a butterfly and the fml didn't address it at all. I feel like they didn't commit to the yandere archtype at all.
Imo the fact that everyone loved her blindly becuz she was cute n friendly is what dragged the story down. it wasnt a horrible read but the artstyle saved it ngl.
