The story is very political, a little bit dry, and a tad emotionless. Why? Because that is how the FMC is actually despite everything that had blossomed in her life (it finally dawned on me when I read ch224).
i saw her as most human when she interacted with Emily, her maid. Her most cherished person. I thought it would be Cedric, her husband. But actually, she became most raw & vulnerable with Emily. Even though that, it was really beautiful ngl.
Regretful what happened to Lawrence or the Emperor. I wish they would've changed but that was what their characters are. Some people just don't change regardless.
