Just my two cents - Don’t rock my shi

I just want to say that from the very beginning I think it was very evident that Aaron wasn’t this “cutesy green flag” that everybody seems to be grieving over. I thought it was obvious he had a more complicated and messed up side to him, but I guess not to my surprise? Just because a character is presented as the perfect prince doesn’t mean he actually is. That’s not to say it’s justified of course, but it was still present despite the lovey dovey scenes from season 1.

Secondly, the author *did* say that season two was going to be more angsty. I feel like everybody intentionally ignored that... As of chapter 69, THOSE scene were clearly not drawn or written in a romantical manner; a few of aaron’s inner monologue here and there about how he loves him didn’t take away from the intentionally dark and twisted scene that the author was trying to paint. I don’t think she failed in that. There were some scenes that forced you to feel the same messed up feelings as BOTH of the characters, none of which were in rose colored glasses.
we can see certain panels that were drawn to shock the reader, and disturb them in some way. After that, he talks about how he picked up bad habits from him and whatever. as useless as that may sound to mention, I feel like it’s just the cherry on top. AGAIN, that’s not to say i’m justifying it or saying whatever is happening is totally okay.
But I *do* think that it’s not surprising to me since I was already aware that the story is currently at a dark point right now. which is a *part* of the story, and it’ll inevitably get better. Though, I am curious as to see how the characters will move on from something as traumatic as this. I think that’s supposed to keep us hooked despite the horrors we’re currently reading.

these characters aren’t created to have their moral compass be praised. they’re created for the sole purpose of story telling and nothing more.

again, pls don’t rock my shit, I just feel like the majority of readers read this with an expectation that was far from what the author was even writing in the first place. I see there’s a lot of misunderstandings here and there and even lots of misinterpretations of certain scenes. there’s plenty of comfy and fluffy stories out there for sure! but i believe this one was very obvious that it was something more complicated than that. but that’s just me tho.

in the end this is just my opinion. i understand the frustration of the people in the comments though for sure, don’t get me wrong. i hate how slowly the chapters are being posted solely for the fact that it’s not a happy read as of now. The art is so lovely, and the characters have so much depth into them. I hope whatever comes after this is worth it :’)

i feel like i should say this for the third time but pls understand that i’m not saying whatever is happening is okay and should be praised or romanticized very bad at articulating these things lol

last clarification i promise: i also hate what’s going on currently between aaron and Yunjin. I don’t think it was absolutely necessary by any means. Unfortunately i’ll have to let this marinate for longer, I hate to see both of them, but specifically Yunjin, suffer.
