I actually dislike this rape act as their final "sex" scene in main novel storyline.
This novel have 2 sequel titles. These 2 titles are different from xinlu novel.
These 2 titles are only taeui and illay. In these novel, ilay improved a lot. 1st sequel was about them became kinda mercenaries and there was part where taeui almost die like literally critical. Then ilay started havinv revelation which he couldn't live without taeui. But usual korean novel, non communicating is their prime top main focus trope of all time. So. Taeui never knew ilay felt like that. After events on this novel, taeui and ilay names were removed from wanted / terrorists.
On 2nd titles, ilay and taeui have separate missions. Their missions both are including join UNHRO again. Ilay & Taeui are on the same rank, not like before. There was join training from different branches of UNHRO. Taeui met the person who bullied him during his military service and the one who hurt taeui's knee. In this mission, both taeui & ilay acted as if they don't know each other in public, but they still have sex stuff every night even if they live on different dorm. Both also not revealing what's their mission.
Anyway. In this story, taeui said to people he is in relationship with german boyfriend but he never said it was ilay. So when taeui drooling over ilay's body during beach scene, people thought taeui was being a lecher. Then during UNHRO camp, taeui revealed that his partner is easily get angry and jealous person, and taeui seriously said he could lost his life because of him. This information prompted people to tell taeui to breakup with his boyfriend. Oh, in this novel, taeui and ilay been together for years and ilay could speak korean and taeui could speak german. Ilay who was accidentally heard their conversation, got angry. I forgot what happened but ilay visibly angry but walked it off and taeui ran after him. After that they got into argument and then 2 people came to ilay and tried to kill him. Taeui of course defending ilay. Anyway the attacker are dead. And people realize the boyfriend taeui spoke of was ilay. Ilay, was actually will not kill taeui, he was afraid of losing taeui instead. So he got angry that taeui thought he (ilay) could kill taeui.

I forgot the sequences, but taeui and ilay fight with each other, I mean real punching fighting. Ilay tried not to hurt ilay so much.
If I m not mistaken, ilay mission was to kill UNHRO spy or something, while taeui mission was to protect this guy and collect evidences. So they fought purely caused by mission.

The guy who was taeui arch enemy during military, was just closeted gay. He actually likes taeui. He bullied taeui because he hated how he liked taeui and how taeui was very openly gay. On separate scene, this guy kidnapped taeui, like binding him with rope and something. He was kinda crazy like he disgusted with taeui but also tried to rape him. Ilay found them. Actually this guy was hesitated and thought ilay will kill him. But ilay as crazy as he is, he asked taeui to say "I m jeong taeui is fully own by ilay riegrow" (exactly like this scene). Taeui refused to handover his own autonomy to ilay by saying that words. It prompted the guy to removed taeui pants. It's crazy how ilay let that happen despite his possessiveness. But taeui broke the rope and punch him. Then, I think (i forgot the sequences of the scenes), taeui's & ilay's mission target broke in to the room, he was supposedly being held by UNHRO after being caught red handed by ilay and taeui. But he broke into the room and tried to kill taeui. Ilay, was actually few meters away from taeui and the rapist guy, so even if ilay runs he couldn't reach taeui fast enough. But the rapist guy somehow stopped the "target" from hurting taeui. The target guy then again was being taken care off. I don't remember if he faced military law or he is dead. Anyway taeui and the rapist guy were both hospitalized. Ilay then make out with taeui, just so ilay could showing off his relationship with taeui, to the rapist guy, on the bed beside them.

Because the mission was completed, taeui and ilay returned, so they say goodbyes to the UNHRO people. And this rapist guy talked to ilay like just short minutes and then got his broke by ilay. He said something like, cherish taeui because taeui deserves good boyfriend, ilay annoyed with that statement and broke his jaw.

There are other missions and other arcs as well. The sequel novels are actually very long just like the main novels. And they have proper storyline as well.
And in these novels ilay character did have some development. Like ilay put all his wealth and money under taeui name including private jet and resort. And he (ilay) officially put bounty on himself (ilay) if taeui die before him. Because he couldn't live without taeui and he definitely not capable to kill himself so he asked people to kill him if taeui die before him.
Ilay also give missions to his team, with however tactics (non violent) they could use, so they can make taeui say that he loves ilay. Ilay only want to go to vacation or somewhere, only if taeui ask him to. Like when taeui ask to go to beer festival, ilay made all the preparation only for the vacation failed because taeui invited their friends.

Even if people call them couple or lovers, taeui reluctantly to call themselves as lovers. But taeui does call ilay his boyfriend, if ilay wasn't around.

There's this bar scene, where taeui met his ex boyfriend & his admirer, accidentally in korea.
This scene is kinda weird because the ex demanded taeui said "i love you" one more time to him. Which taeui agreed to say. Then, ilay appeared. He is handsome but no one care because they like taeui. Ilay was jealous that taeui i love you so easy to his ex but not him. So to appease ilay, taeui made all the confessions he could think of like "I love ilay as deep as the ocean and as large as the sky" something like that, but in many different cringe way.
