um, it got a little too contrived towards the end. wish it had gone the more psychological route instead of having random ass dudes come in and mess things up for them. still loved the angst tho, and the atmosphere was SO good. the mood setting was perfect. i always enjoy emotionally intense stories, i just really really wish it had leaned more into the psychological and emotional intensity all throughout instead of relying on external conflict to drive the plot. still a decent read tho teehee
