I liked that too! You never see that in these types of pairings. They always soften the horror of SA by making the uke unsure if he likes it or not until eventually confusing it for love. But in this, they are showing the ugly side of it— Taeui being very much aware it’s not right, he knows Ilays behaviour is psychotic , and he’s not enjoying it or even pretending to. Of course it’s still tough to see, but the author is actually treating it how it should be treated —an assault.

i’m actually glad that the artist made a point to show that Taeui is flaccid the entire time. his internal dialogue also honors what he is going through in the novel. i get that their first encounter was dub con/non con but this interaction is different and it’s shown as such. this kind of shows the “darker” side of yandere pairings (unmarred by pretend fluff and flattery over obsession). doesnt make it better that we all have to sit through weeks of this sh*t but still.
