Me ranting about society

His world is similar in the sense that if you don't want to be with anyone people think you're gay or think "you haven't meet the right one."

Those notions that you have to be with someone achieve the highest happiness is such an absurd value we have in society. Same thing with the notion of sex. Don't want to have sex? Insane. Don't want to be with anyone. Insane. You are conventionally attractive don't want anything to do with another person. Wtf is wrong with you? Ha...

I know his family/coworkers want him to be happy and that's why they want him to get with another person since that's what makes them happy, but... Have they considered that he's not them and never will be? He's much happier being alone, why is his family pushing their own ideals onto him? This is literally why he never comes home, yet every single conversation they have with him is driving him away? I feel like they also haven't considered how weird it is to push their ideals of having a partner onto him. Like what if our MC did the same to other people and ask them, "Why don't you keep it in your pants?" or a "Why are you two even married?" I feel like those questions are as equivalently invasive as asking why he's not with a girl.

Also, he's so eccentric, what's wrong adding being single to his list of eccentricities? Like do they think him being not single would make him more normal? Plus, if he does end up with a woman, I feel like that woman would also be incredibly eccentric? It'd just make him more eccentric honestly.
