I don’t think ‘holier than thou’ makes sense in this context since it’s not exactly holy haha,
but i can see what you mean by that. which is completely valid. I think the majority of us can say it’s not something we explicitly seek in BL. however, some people were upset that it took a dark turn even though we were already warned. and some people were upset that aaron was no longer a “wholesome green flag”, which he never was if you actually read the story. we’re talking about how a lot of people misunderstood the entire story. that’s like reading a horror story and being upset it had some horror elements. that doesn’t mean we’re morally justifying it, we’re just saying it shouldn’t be surprising, or be an indicator of a bad story. personally i don’t non-con in my stories either. it makes me cringe to put it lightly. however, the author clearly drew the scenes in a way that’s supposed to disturb the reader rather than romanticize it. which some authors do the absolute opposite of.
again, that’s not to say we’re morally justifying it or saying it’s absolutely okay.
but then again.. it was definitely obvious. i’m sorry, it was. and i think some people should read and analyze things beyond just dialogues.

You don’t have to act holier than thou about the sudden rapeslop turn this manhwa took just cos Aaron was always possessive/toxic. A lot of people got into this story not expecting it to take such a turn and we are allowed to be annoyed by it :( not everyone likes rape in their bl T-T
