Ending is straight buns but idk ig it is what it is..it’s the authors story so they can do what they want. But it left such a bad taste in my mouth.

The ending really reads as if Hanjoo decided to die or sum shi. The way he left the world of the living (Chanyoung, everyone forgetting him,..) and decided to stay with Jihyun (who is ‘not human’, and I theorize is rather a representation of something(?)).
The last few chapters sound as if Hanjoo has accepted his death.

Really, without directly saying it, Hanjoo seems suicidal the whole story. Even when in the last few chapters he told Jihyun he didn’t regret being saved when he was supposed to die. This sounded more to me like Hanjoo was grateful for the time he had, but he was now ready to throw everything away.

When he mentioned not feeling tied down to earth like everyone else, and being bothered by this, I thought the story would make towards an ending where he’s able to be happy among his peers and find a life of fulfillment. But instead, the ending did the opposite where instead he stays unbound and floating ‘into the horizon’ or whatever.

Anywho I would’ve ideally wanted Hanjoo & Chanyoung to end up together and Hanjoo go to therapy..at least the therapy part……this would’ve been the happiest ending I think.

I kind of regret reading this tbh :/
