I am really conflicted about his mom. I understand her situation, but I find it hard to empathize. Call me naive, but the way I see it, his parents are in a position in which they could have run away abroad, live under the radar, and found job as music teachers. Yes, such life will not be easy, but it probably won't be as broken as what they currently have. Look at the 2 sons she has, one develop PTSD, one thought his mom hates him. So I dont want MC to suddenly accept her back. So far, I like how this manga deals with this relationship.
